When you have a washer or you are putting one in, you need to make sure you have the hose in the pipes far enough and the water pipes are sealed and not cracked. If you have a crack in the pipe, you have to replace it with a new pipe. If you don't see a leak but hear it, however, you need to shut off your water and find that leak. You may have to tear out the wall just to get to it. If you can't find it, you will need to call the water company to come find it for you. It can cost you a lot but you will not have water damage in your home, and it will keep your home safe for your family. If there are no cracks in your pipes, then it is safe for you to put in your washer. Also make sure that there are no cuts or tears in the hose because you will get water damage from that because it will get on the floors and on the walls whether it is in a utility room or in your basement. The water will spread and flood the floors, which will get into your boxes or containers that might have your clothes in it. It will soak in your carpets or in the rugs, get into small areas, soak in the drywalls, and in the cracks or holes in your walls, whether it is brick, or wood. The water damage can or will be bad, and you will have to replace a lot of things that the water has ruined. You can or might even lose a lot of stuff in the process because it will not be able to get repaired. If you don't get all the water cleaned up, mold will set in and you will see black spots on the walls and you will see it on the drywalls. It will eat the drywall because it eats the paper that is on it. You will have stains in the carpets, and you will see black marks on the bottom of the walls along the liner of the bottom walls if the black mold has spread. There can be odor and toxins in the air from the water damage and the mold. Make sure you are checking it right and putting it in there right so you will have no problems with these kinds of thing invading your home.
