If one of your bedrooms needs to be fixed up, then you can do some home improvement on it to make it better for them. If the walls, floors, carpet, doors, windows, and the ceiling need to be replaced, then go to the home improvement stores that have wood and the other stuff that you need. The tools that you will need are a hammer, nails, saw, tape measure, compound, mud, sander, plaster, paint, and tape. Get drywall, boards, the glass for the windows, a new door, and what ever else you need to get the room done. You will need to tear out the room and get everything out of there before you start to fix it up. You will need to do one thing at a time, not all at once if you are not a professional. Professionals know how to do it, and they have lots of help with the other workers. If you want to make the room bigger, then all you have to do is expand it out from the ground up. The things you need to get out are the beds, dressers, everything that is in the closets, and anything else that you have in there. Than you need to take out the carpet, rip out the floorboards one at a time so you still have something to stand on when you put on the new floor, and make sure you put some insulation in the floor so the room will stay warm. After that, you can tear out the walls and then take out the insulation. Then put new insulation in there when you put up the new drywall and then you nail it to the boards so it stays up so you can put compound on it. Then you take down the ceiling and watch the wires. You will have to watch out for what will come out of there. Put a different section up at a time and nail it in the wood so it does not fall down and hit you on the head. Make sure you get all the corners plastered up so it will be professional and it will look great. Also you will be doing it right. Get everything done properly, such as putting the compound on and letting it dry before you start sanding it. Then after it dries, get it smooth so you can paint the walls. After you paint it and let it dry, you can put in the window frames, window, the wood lining on the bottom, and around the door. Then all you have to do is nail it into the wall. After it is all done, then you can put in everything else back in their room and fix it up for them by making it look pretty or cool. It is hard work, but it will be worth it in the long run.
