How To Fight Aging

Aging is the biggest problem everybody is facing at the time they reach their forties. My friend is a typical career woman who constantly does the demands of her career and the needs of her family. She always does these 5 times a day, fetching her kids from school doing her shopping for groceries and attends to her husband's needs. And at the end of the day she never knew that she forgot to take care of her own self.

I think my friend is not the only one who is experiencing this form of dilemma in life. I think I also have the same problem as well as all the other mothers who are so busy on many things but never think about the need of their skin, body and mind. One thing that makes me realize this is when I notice my reflection on the mirror and almost did not recognize my face with all the lines. I am 39 going on 40 this year but I don't want to look much older than my age.

Sadly, a woman like me who does not have regular skin care, exercise and rest will notice the visible effects of aging. The sight of fine lines and wrinkles often send us panicking. One of the most typical reason why we our skin ages is too much sun exposure. Our skin loses the ability to repair it self especially when it is without protection from the sun's harmful rays. You know that a few minutes of exposure every day over the years accumulates to noticeable skin damage. Gosh I know this but I forget to follow it. I always stay in the sun when I do gardening almost every day. I think my skin is still young really that's what I thought before.

Here are a few tips to help delay the signs of aging on your skin:

1. Protect our skin from the sun damaging effect, use cream with SPF15 or a much higher dose.

2. Drink vitamin C and E which ensures that our skin is protected from sunlight and induced premature wrinkles.

3. Use eye cream also with UV protection.

4. Doing repetitive facial movements lead to fine lines and wrinkles. So the best way is to always smile and not frown at every little thing.

5. In sleeping positions be wary of sleep lines that are caused by pressing your face on the pillow. These sounds knew to me, how can we do this if we are at sleep? They say keeping a bad sleeping position can led to permanent line on the surface of our skin, it is the best way to sleep on your back so that our face in not resting against the pillow.

6. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This one is also forgotten but now I make sure that I drink at least 6, but still trying to drink a lot of water now unlike before.

7. Sleep early and do not watch TV late at night, give your self time to rest. Sleeping is best. At least on our age, we can sleep 6 hours a day not including naps. Taking 30-minute to 1-hour naps is ok in the afternoon.

8. Exercise.

9. Eat more healthy foods. In this age we are now prone to many kinds of sickness.

10. Lastly make your self stress-free. Life is short so do not worry on many things in life. Make our problems solves step by step. Always think positive.
