When you cook in the kitchen, you must not leave the room or leave it unattended because a fire can happen. If you are cooking with oil, you have to watch the oil so it does not splatter on the stove, and you will need to make sure that nothing is by the stove when you are cooking because that can cause a fire in your kitchen. The oil can get on the outside of the pan or on the burners, and it will start the pan on fire and it will get in the pan as well. A fire can spread throughout your kitchen and spread to other parts of your house, depending on how big the fire is and how it was caused. There are some tips you will need to know. Don't leave the room, have a lid or some baking soda handy, have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen, and don't spray cooking oil in the pan or pots when it is on the burner. Keep flammable cans or other stuff away from heat and the stove. Also when you are frying fries or other foods in a fryer, you need to watch how high you have it on so it doesn't overheat or boil over, and keep everything away from it so it does not start a fire and so it doesn't cause fire damage to your home. Oil is the leading cause of kitchen fires in your homes, and it is very dangerous. If you have a fire that has started on your stove, you need to get a lid on the pan and move it off the burner. If you don't have a lid for the pan, then you can put baking soda on the fire and then leave it to cool down. Make sure you put the handle of the pan inward so no one can hit it with their bodies or their arms and so no kids can try to grab the handle and spill the contents on them. This way, no one will get hurt when you are cooking. Watch the pans so they don't boil over because if they have butter or oil in it, it can start up a fire on your stove and it can be big. When it is burning, it will keep burning the food that is on and in the stove until you get it out. In any case when there is a fire, you should turn off your stove right away so it won't get worse.
